Laurel Ridge
Laurel Ridge Cabin and the rocky acreage on which it rests offers a wonderful retreat for nature loving couples to medium-sized families.
Outside, you’ll find 37 park-like acres to explore. A wall of interesting sandstone cliffs bisects the property. The top of the cliffs is home to a large stand of mountain laurel, which are spectacular when in bloom in May and June. Nearly one mile of hiking trails snake across the property and lead to many scenic spots above and below the cliffs. In addition:
Wildlife is commonly seen on the property.
Bird enthusiasts will enjoy the sights and sounds of the active avian community.
Wildflowers are abundant in season.
The nature-themed style found in the interior of this three level cabin is highlighted by sturdy log furniture. The upper level contains an elegant marble bathroom and a huge master bedroom (enclosed, not a loft). A reading area with rocking chairs is also found on the upper level.
The main level open living, dining and kitchen areas overlook the forest through a wall of windows reaching well over twenty feet high. Two more bedrooms, a full bathroom and deck access are also found on the main level.
A finished lower level provides access to the hot tub deck. Guests with limited mobility will find everything needed for a comfortable stay on the main level.
This unique property is eternally protected by a conservation easement. We take seriously our philosophy of providing quality lodging while yet being good stewards of the land.
We are only making this cabin available to guests seeking a peaceful getaway in nature, who will respect the property and who will respect the efforts we’ve put forth in providing this quality retreat. Sorry, Laurel Ridge only accepts families with children 10 years of age and older.
